Trifal is a combination of three herbs - Terminalia chebula (haritaki), Terminalia bellerica (bahera) and Embelica officinalis (amla)--which is referenced in almost every Ayurvedic textbook and is considered to be adaptogenic (helps the body cope with stress). This combination has synergistic action, as well as digestive and mild diuretic properties.
Haritaki is rich in tannins, amino acids, succinic acid and beta-sitosterol. Bahera is rich in tannins and has anti-histaminic, antifungal, yeast-inhibiting and choleretic effects. Amla supports the immune system and is one of the richest available sources of vitamin C. Trifal has bowel-regulating and mild laxative effects, aiding both in digestion and elimination.
Trifal Features:
- Proven long history of effectiveness
- Natural bowel regulator
- Improves chronic constipation
- Digestive aid
- Physician quality supplement
- Herbal mild laxative with mild effects
Note: Constipation may be due to a serious medical condition and may need to seek the advice of a qualified physician. Intestinal obstructions or intestinal adhesions may cause constipation which can ultimately lead to death if not treated appropriately.
Consuming the appropriate amount of water, eating fiber from fruits and vegetables and avoiding refined simple carbohydrates will improve constipation. Also consider EPA/DHA and Flax Seed Oil as these improve the overall health of the body allowing for proper digestion.
A more thorough intestinal repair complex may be needed. Please consider a full intestinal repair complex system which provides dietary information and protocols as well.
