Our T300 tower air purifier has HEPA air filtration, an ozone-safe ionizer,
an ultraviolet light and an activated carbon filter. The HEPA filter in the
T300 air purifier eliminates irritating allergens like pollen, mold spores,
dust and pet dander while the UV light neutralizes bacteria and viruses. The

Q: Can the built-in Ionizer on the Alen T300 Air Purifier be manually activated or deactivated? How many filters are there to be replaced. For lifetime warranty, must the filter be changed every 6 - 9 months even if they are not dirty?
A: The built in Ionizer can be manually switched on or off. There are two filters in the Alen Purifier 1 on top, and 1 on bottom.
Depending on usage you may or may not need to replace the filters every 6-9 months. If you run it 24/7 then yes the filters will need replacing after so long. There is a light indicator on the purifier that will let you know when the filter should be replaced.
If you should need to redeem your warranty one day, Alen just wants to ensure that you did your part (changed the filters when necessary) in taking care of your purifier. This way, if the purifier should break in the future, they will know that it was not due to lack of care on your end. They will know this by looking at the indicator in the purifier which records when the filter has been neglected.

The air purifier seems to help me wake-up breathing easier. I keep it in the living room during the day and the bedroom at night. I'm thinking about getting another so I'll have one for each room. Thanks for such a good product!

A good quiet filter
I have been using the T300 for a few weeks now. It is a very nice Air Purifier. Its is a little loud on its highest setting but still not as loud as other Purifiers I have used. It has a lot of nice features like UAV light which can be turned off and on. It also has an ionizer which helps a lot if you have animals. The air smells fresher after only a few hours. However I brought this unit mainly for dust removal. My room has a lot of dust, more than the average room and this unit while does filter a lot of the air, still can not make a dent in the amount of dust in my room. My room is about 170 square feet and used to be an attic. I don't think I can really blame the filter. I have watched it when the light hits my room just right, and I can see it takes in tons of dust. After a week I could not longer see any black parts on the pre-filter it was completely covered with layers of dust. While this filter might not be the best one for my room I will continue to use it seeing as I can't afford the more expensive units.

Can't live without it
After living constantly with waking up to allergy symptoms and all kinds of medicines to address the symptoms, I finally saw an info-commercial for air purifiers and the light bulb went off. I did the research and found that the Alen and IQAir products were the best and cleaned over 95% of contaminants in the air where the info-commercial product only cleaned about 35% of the contaminants. The Alen was best price for feature for my budget with a lifetime warranty so I purchased it. Now my son and I wake up mostly free of any allergy symptoms and the feeling is wonderful!

Air purifier that really works
Living in Georgia with all the pollen I developed allergies. I would sit in my den watching TV and find myself getting stuffed up and congested. That all stopped (with no medications) when I got the T300. I have bought several air purifiers but only the Alen T300 has made a noticeable and lasting difference in the air quality in my home. I own 2 and sleep with one in my bedroom. I sleep much better and can actually breath freely all night. I have had no problems with either unit and highly recommend the Alen products to anyone looking for a top rated trouble free unit.

Good product.
This is a good air filter. I have pretty bad allergies, and when we first moved into this house it had brand new carpet and I would be miserable 5 minutes after walking in the door. I moved my T300 in from my previous apartment, and about a day later came back and had no allergy symptoms whatsoever.

It's worth every penny
Though beautiful, after moving to Austin I experienced what a lot of people experience once they move here...ALLERGIES!! Medications would alleviate the headaches and sinus pressures but the sneezing and the watery eyes were, seemingly, incurable, until I came across the Alen T300. I was skeptical because I had tried many others before and none succeeded but I was willing to try anything. I plugged in the T300 (Very quiet) and left it running over night and the next morning noticed a significant difference in the air. NO SNEEZING or watery eyes!! It's worth every penny!!
