Relaxin For Insomnia, Anxiety, Stress, Drug Withdrawal
Relaxin contains Ziziphus jujube, Anemarrhena asphodeloides, Ligusticum chuanziong, Salvia miltiorrhiza, and Epimedium brevicornum. Approved by the Japanese Government to help relive insomnia, Relaxin assists in sleeping and helps alleviate stress. It is used for nervous tension, insomnia, arrhythmia, cold sweats, dizziness, and dry mouth. Unlike sleeping pills, Relaxin does not cause drowsiness (a side effect of Melatonin), depression and suicide.
One study involved neurasthenia (nervous exhaustion) patients. Among the participants, 31 had insomnia. After taking Relaxin, all 31 cases improved their sleeping habits and even 64.5% of them had improved daytime energy.
Relaxin is also beneficial for arrhythmia or irregular heartbeat. Arrhythmias may be caused by stress, caffeine, tobacco, and heart disease. In one study, 89 patients with arrhythmia took Relaxin. It was 89.28% effective in restoring normal heart rhythm.
In 2005, the Taiwan Health Department applied for drug approval for Relaxin because of its promising potential in aiding drug addicts through withdrawal symptoms. A study in the summer of 2004 has shown that Relaxin is able to alleviate withdrawal symptoms experienced by morphine addicts. Prof. YF Chen from China Medical pharmacology led this study where morphine addicts were given Relaxin. They found that it reduces pain, helps calm the addicts and exhibits anti-spasmodic functions.
