Will it pull out heavy metals?
Answer:
Hi Anne -
The moor mud/balneo peat does assist in removing heavy metals. The moor mud itself binds metals strongly via the humic acid content found in it. Our moor mud has been tested for heavy metals and it is quite low for a natural product - it is low as it is harvested from a natural area in the Czech Republic - far from industry.
The increased sweating caused by the moor mud is a direct method to remove some heavy metals. Mercury is a common one that has been shown to be removed via sauna or other hyperthermic treatments such as moor mud bathing.
Another reason why increased sweating increases removal of toxins is due to increased metabolism of fat. Fat is a major storage site for pesticides, herbicides and some metals. The insulating factor of the moor mud in the water increases sweating way more than if a person simply took a hot bath or sauna.
The moor mud insulates the body allowing the body to increase internal body temperature thereby increasing metabolism and thereby the release of toxins. The moor mud then binds the toxins if they are sweated out from the skin.
It is recommended to take phase 2 liver support before and after bathing in moor mud as it helps remove toxins from your body that have been transferred from fat stores into the blood stream via increased metabolism. Taking a quality oil is necessary as well - such as EPA/DHA or cold pressed olive oil.
I recommend taking MSM, molybdenum and BioCleanse capsules or ToxiHMF. You may find all of these here -

Replacing lost electrolytes from sweating is essential. I recommend the Balanced Electrolye Concentrate as it is inexpensive and effective. You may find that here -

Replacing lost minerals from sweating is also essential. Taking excess minerals is dangerous which is why I recommend the Taste Taste Kit. If one is low in minerals, the person won't taste the mineral. If the person has ample supply of the mineral, the taste will be quite over-powering. I have tried this and when I tried zinc, I didn't taste a thing. I then took it for a month regularly and tested again with the Zinc Tester - and it tasted quite metallic. My wife did the Taste Test Kit and found that she could not taste hardly any of them - which is not a good sign. She is now taking all minerals and will test again down the road.

I need to write a book on this ;)
I hope this helps -

Guidelines for using
I checked into the mud from either Hungary or the Czech Republic. I'm wondereing if it's a bit "hot" as in radioactive as both of those countries are close to Chernobyl, Ukraine. -Anne
Answer:
We have tested all our peat products for radioactivity. They have less radiation than what is measured coming off naturally from California's soils - which is absolutely minimal. Our planet has natural radioactivity in small amounts.
The other thing to note is that Chernobyl's radiation disaster did not blow towards the Czech republic.
Our peat is safe and tested. I will provide lab testing to those who inquire.
Thank you
Dr Ben
