I recently purchased 3 water bottles from you. My water bottle top (sport top) seems to be malfunctioning. when I sip from the top it makes the noise of air going through and water is not really getting to my mouth easily. Is this common?
Answer:
To remedy this issue simply loosen up the top until you notice that there is no more noise coming from the bottle. The bottle should not leak either, just be loose enough so it does not squeak and the water flow improves.
We have purchased from you before. Recently I began wondering about the safety of stainless steel since it is made up of copper and other metals that have links to toxicity. Do you have any research to share that you are working on regarding the safetey of stainless steeel?
Thank you

Answer:
Hi Karen -
Thank you for your question.
Klean Kanteens go through testing. I have seen their lab reports.
Klean Kanteens are constructed of high quality, sanitary grade 304 stainless steel. 304 has a low nickel content and is preferred by breweries and dairies.
Here is an informative article:

I have not heard of any toxicity reports from anywhere regarding 18/8 (grade 304) stainless steel - and I do not expect to.
I do expect to hear toxicity reports on other products such as polyethylene, polypropylene at some point.
If you are concerned, you can get a heavy metal test done by a naturopathic physician. Doctors Data is a leader in heavy metal testing.
