    • I get white spots on my hand nails all the time, since I am 12 y/o. I am 32 now and permanently there are white spots coming as the nails grow. I have used zinc supplement and did not help. I have read that kidney issues can cause leukonychia, and I had kidney infection when I was 14. Is there anything that you can suggest? One thing I note: my index fingers are the ones that get the most spots... i mean, they never stop. I wonder if there is any relation between those fingers and any internal organ...
      Thanks for your help. JDR
    • Hello -

White spots on nails is controversial.

My guess is you may be having some more trauma to that specific nail bed for some reason. Try to be more aware of hitting the nail bed and the white spots may go away.

You may support healthy nail growth with Biotin 5. Consider taking 1 capsule daily for 2 months and then stop.
