Dandruff

Dandruff is caused by a yeast. Remove the yeast by improving your skin's health, immune system and reducing stress. Improving your diet is key as well as sugar intake feeds the yeast and weakens your immune system.

Some suggestions to help make Dandruff and Cradle Cap go away naturally are below. Mind you these are not prescriptions or treatments, they are merely suggestions which may support the body's ability to eradicate dandruff. While we've made sound suggestions, use at your own risk.

For Adults and Children above 12 years old with Dandruff:

• Consider ProBiota 12 capsules: take 1-2 capsules after dinner
• Biotin 5: take 1 capsule in the AM with or without food
• Microbial Defense: take 1 capsule with food in the evening for 2 weeks. Increase to 2 capsules for another 2 weeks. Then stop.
• Optimal Multivitamin ideally: take 2-3 capsules in the AM with breakfast, 2-3 capsules at lunch and 2 capsules around 3 PM.
• If not taking Optimal Multivitamin, then take Trace Mineral Complex 1 capsule daily with food any time of day.
• Obtain a Shower Chlorine Filter to protect your scalp from damage. I see this as a major cause of dandruff and dry skin
• Optimal Fish Oil: take 2 capsules with a meal any time of day.
• Have your doctor check your Vitamin D3 levels. Consider supplementing with 2,000 IU of Vitamin D3 in the meantime.
• Use natural soaps to wash skin and hair. Tulsi Neem soap is the best as contains Neem which kills the yeast and at the same time doesn't damage the skin.
• Wash pillow cases often - and hats.
• Consider applying Moor Mud to the face and scalp as it is naturally high in humic acids which help heal the skin and balance the pH.

For Kids ages 4 through 12 years old:

• Do the same as for the adult except do not use Optimal Multivitamin. Instead use Kid's Optimal Multivitamin.
• Take only 1 Microbial Defense and maintain at that amount. Do not give more than one capsule at a time. For younger children, use half a capsule. Mix in some applesauce.

For Kids younger than 4 years old with Dandruff

• Do the same for the adult but use Optimal Fish Oil Liquid vs the Optimal Fish Oil capsules.
• Do not use Microbial Defense at all. Rather use Garlic.
• Use 1/2 capsule of Biotin 5
• Open the capsules of Kid's Optimal Multivitamin and mix in applesauce. Mix 1 capsule at a time twice a day.
• Or use 1/2 capsule of Trace Mineral Complex mixed in applesauce.

For Infants with Cradle Cap (dandruff):

• ProBiota Infant Powder: provide 1/4 teaspoon any time of day after a meal - ideally evening.
• Wash and bathe with chlorine free water. Use a Chlorine Bath Ball or add 3 grams of Vitamin C to the bath each time to remove the chlorine.
• If breast feeding: Mother should take a potent Prenatal vitamin, Biotin 5, Optimal Fish Oil and ProBiota 12.
• Wash the infant's head with Tulsi Neem soap. Keep out of eyes and mouth.
• Wash pillow cases often along with hats.
