Hashimoto's Thyroiditis
Hashimoto's Thyroiditis is unfortunately quite common. The fortunate news is it may be reversed if lifestyle and proper nutrients are applied.
Lifestyle changes that must occur with Hashimoto's center around the halogens which compete with Iodine in binding to the thyroid gland.
A major dietary change to apply is avoiding wheat or high gluten containing foods. The problem with Gluten is that the antibodies against gluten are similar in amino acid sequence as the thyroid. Thus, if you are sensitive or allergic to gluten, your thyroid gets attacked by your immune system.

In terms of nutrition, the thyoid needs to have Zinc, Magnesium, Selenium and Iodine in order to properly produce active thyroid hormones. If anyone of those nutrients is deficient, the thyroid will not work properly.
Adrenal support is also paramount. If the adrenal glands are overworked, this puts a strain on metabolism. Metabolism is generated mainly by the thyroid gland. Increase nutritional intake for the adrenals and this will directly have a positive effect on the thyroid.
B vitamins, Ashwagandha and vitamin C are excellent for adrenal support.
