Magnesium Plus™ provides magnesium in the most absorbable and well-tolerated form, magnesium glycinate chelate. Recent research shows that when magnesium is chelated and taken along with vitamin B6, magnesium is better absorbed. Thus, we added vitamin B6 to Magnesium Plus.
Our vitamin B6 contains the active coenzyme form of vitamin B6 which is pyridoxal 5’-phosphate (P-5-P). Vitamin B6 as P-5-P is already fully “active” and readily usable, as it does not require further transformation in the body. This unique combination has also been shown in studies to be beneficial for persons experiencing recurring calcium oxalate kidney stones1.
Magnesium plays an important role in more than 400 different metabolic steps. P-5-P plays an important role in over 100 metabolic steps. Combined, Magnesium Plus provides a functional metabolic powerhouse as it assists more than 500 metabolic pathways from 1 capsule.

Questions & Answers about Magnesium Plus 100 Vegetarian Capsules - Seeking Health
Q: Will Magnesium Plus by Seeking Health Help With Restless Leg Syndrome?
A: There are additional causes of RLS that may need to be addressed:
- Low vitamin B12 or folic acid leading to neurological symptoms and lack of blood oxygenation.
- Caffeinated beverages or Monosodium glutamate may increase symptoms of Restless Leg Syndrome. Avoid caffeine and instead take a potent mixture of Vitamin B's and drink low caffeine green tea.
- 400 IU to 800 IU of Vitamin E has shown effectiveness in recovering from symptoms of Restless Leg Syndrome. One must take this dose for 3 months consistently to achieve desired outcome.
- Essential Fatty Acids such as Omega 3's from cold water fish have shown effectiveness in treating Restless Leg Syndrome.
- Low levels of Glycine may cause hyperactivity of the neurological system. Magnesium glycinate is doubly effective as the Magnesium if helpful to relax muscles and provide proper neurotransmitter signaling. The Magnesium in Magnesium glycinate is attached to Glycine making you obtain 2 very helpful nutrients for Restless Leg Syndrome in one capsule.
In short, Magnesium Plus may signifantly reduce your symptoms of Restless Leg Syndrome if the cause of your RLS is low Magnesium status or low Glycine.
Glycine and Magnesium are both indicated in Restless Leg Syndrome and Magnesium Plus contains both.
Consider taking one capsule of Magnesium Plus 1-2x/day or up to bowel tolerance.
I recommend that you supplement with some form of Calcium as taking Magnesium alone will push out calcium creating a calcium deficiency.
Chia Seeds are a great source of calcium and I highly recommend them for overall health; however, in your case, I highly recommend them simply based on their high calcium content and high omega 3 content. Low omega 3 fatty acids are also commonly found in individuals with Restless Leg Syndrome.
I am preparing a more complete Restless Leg Article as it is a very common complaint. It can be reversed if proper supplementation, lifestyle and dietary changes are implemented.

Q: What is the difference between Doctorbs Best High Absorption Magnesium and Magnesium Plus by Seeking Health?
One note I can point out on the price issue:
Doctor's Best, High Absorption Magnesium, 240 Tablets - These are tablets and not vegetarian capsules
Tablets are nutrients that are compressed and compacted together very tightly. They are cheaper to manufacture, but also harder to absorb.
A good test for asorbability is to take one tablet, drop it in glass of water, let it sit for about 10 hours.
If the tablet is barely dissolved, then that is what it is doing when you ingest it.
Magnesium Plus capsules also do not contain these unnecessary ingredients:
Croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate (vegetable source), stearic acid, titanium dioxide (food grade)
Let me know if this helps!
Thanks
