About L-Glutamine Powder - 300 grams - Seeking Health

Glutamine, the most abundant amino acid in the body, helps form other amino acids, glucose, protein, and glutathione. Glutamine is stored in the muscles and is the primary metabolic fuel for the cells of the small intestine, fibroblasts, and the immune system. Supplementation with glutamine can help support gut cell proliferation and mucosal integrity, resulting in decreased intestinal permeability and systemic infections.

l-Glutamine by Seeking Health provides support for:

  • Protein synthesis & cellular energy
  • Decreased Intestinal Permeability: Glutamine is the primary fuel of the cells lining the small intestine.
  • Improved Intestinal Microbiota: Glutamine helps protect against pathogens such as Helicobacter pylori and supports beneficial intestinal microorganisms1,2
  • Increased Immune Response3

Supplementing with l-Glutamine may help your body continue to function and repair under such stress. Seeking Health l-Glutamine powder is formulated by Dr Ben to be free from preservatives, allergens, fillers, and flow agents for patients with chemical sensitivities and allergies. One scoop of l-Glutamine provides 5000 mg. Because of glutamine’s high turnover rate in the body, supplemental amounts are well-tolerated and safe.

Good Product
i Ordered this 2 weeks back for my gastritis. I tried adding 15 grams of this powder to 1 liter of water and sipped it throughout the day like Dr. Ben suggested. So far it's helping to keep my symptoms in check. I would recommend this product!

    • How many calories are in 1 teaspoon of l-Glutamine Powder?

      Judy
    • Judy - I have no idea. Caloric content of a nutritional supplement like Glutamine is typically not a concern. The health benefits of glutamine are significant even if the calories are high. Coconut oil and coconut butter, for example, is high in calories, but the benefits are extraordinary. I personally do not believe the 'calorie counting' is an effective way to maintain weight. It is stressful, time consuming and difficult. What makes most sense is to simply eat whole foods - not processed - as much as possible. This alone will significantly optimize your weight - if that is a concern. In health, Dr Ben

Still we are optimistic that there is someone out there, that should be able to help us.
      Please help.

    • Despina - The best thing to do in this situation is to schedule a consult with me. I can find a lot of things most doctors cannot as I dig thoroughly. Please call 800 689 8221 or schedule online here: http://www.healthegoods.com/consult.html In health, Dr Ben

    • I would like to know if L-Glutamine is safe for teens to use. My son is 13 years old (135 lb, 5'6"). I was told that this would help w/leaky gut among other things. Thank you once again for you help and time.

      Cathy W.
    • Hi Cathy - If your son has leaky gut, I recommend he take 1 tsp of Intestinal Repair Complex once to twice daily - between meals ideally - http://www.healthegoods.com/intestinal-repair-complex-160-g-biogenesis-nutraceuticals.html Consider taking one scoop in a glass of filtered water before breakfast and another scoop before bed. I also highly recommend taking 1 capsule of ProBiota Sensitive after dinner. Probiotics are very much needed for healthy gut integrity. http://www.healthegoods.com/probiota-sensitive.html Be sure he is also taking 2,000 IU of Vitamin D3 daily as low D3 leads to leaky gut as well. Taking 1 drop daily of Vitamin D360 OR taking 7 drops ONCE A WEEK is recommended. http://www.healthegoods.com/vitamin-d360-by-seeking-health.html These recommendations may help him a lot - Please also try to reduce the amount of wheat he consumes - avoid all if possible.
