Not only does the peat provide heat for a long duration, but its pure weight adds therapeutic value. In order for the patient to receive a proper treatment, the heating pack must be heavy enough to lay equally across the patient's skin. This way, the patient is assured even coverage and a good outcome.
These heating packs are designed to be used with the single foment peat packs. The sizes are the same so work is easy. Lay the foment down on the patient, then place the heating pack on top - done.
These packs are meant to be heated in a heating pack. They are not intended to be heated in a microwave or oven. This will ruin the covering and unevenly heat the peat. |
