About Carditone by Ayush Herbs - 60 capsules

Carditone by Ayush Herbs, is a unique herbal formulation based on India's Ayurvedic principles. Carditone promotes healthy blood pressure and gives off a calmative and carditonic effect. It as well helps relieve hypertension, heart palpitations, and irregular heart beats. Keep in mind while using Carditone that it has sedative and tranquilizing properties.

Carditone contains the herb Rauvolfia serpentina--an important therapeutic aid in promoting healthy blood pressure. It exerts hypotensive effects by the depletion of norepinephrine through inhibition of catecholamine storage in postganglionic adrenergic nerve endings.

Carditone has a dilating effect on small blood vessels, increasing blood flow to the heart. It also helps diuretic activity without depleting your levels of potassium. The Indian coral powder included provides calcium and magnesium that give strength to the heart. Magnesium is a very important element in hypertension and coronary-artery diseases.

Carditone can also be used with Rentone--an herbal formulation that promotes kidney health and healthy diuretic activity. If you are planning on taking Carditone and Rentone together, it is recommended to take one capsule of each two times per day.

Question: Can Carditone be taken with Synthroid?
Answer:

Q: Several years ago, due to thyroid cancer, my thyroid was removed.  I now am on synthroid to supply the hormone.  Would that affect my ability to effectively take Carditone?

A: Blood pressure and thyroid are two very important health concerns that must be managed by your physician.

Ingredients in Carditone have no direct effect on the thyroid; however, thyroid medications may speed up the heart or slow the heart.

Thus, it is important that the dose of both Carditone and Synthroid be effectively managed by your physician.

Should you have other questions, please do ask.

Thanks
Dr. Ben,

Thank you very much for your help. I have been using carditone 1/2 a pill, twice daily. My blood pressure is right around 120/80. Before bed my blood pressure is lower than that sometimes. Heart beat is about 55-60. I feel very good. I have ordered Liver Nutrients as you suggested. Thank you again.

    • Dear Dr
Can this be taken with coversyl? or vit D? diagnosed with high blood pressure 2 mnths ago after a panic attack. undergone full blood test, glucose, cholesterol, thyroid, are all normal. low on vit D. ECG normal Age 45

      Trudy
    • Hi Trudy - Taking additional blood pressure supplements or medications on top of what you are already taking must be approved by your physician. If you add Carditone on top of Conversyl, your blood pressure may lower too much and there may be an unfavorable interaction between the two as well. If your blood pressure is elevated after experiencing a panic attack, then I think the best thing to do is to also address the panic and anxiety with herbs, nutrients and healthy food choices. Consider taking 2 capsules of Ashwagandha twice daily. It is very safe and quite effective. http://www.healthegoods.com/ashwagandha-extract-stress-support-60-vegetarian-capsules-seeking-health.html You may also need additional Magnesium. Magnesium is depleted in most individuals - especially those experiencing panic or anxiety. That said, vitamin B6 is also depleted in these same individuals. I recommend you consider taking 2 capsules of Magnesium Plus in the AM and 2 before bed - this provides both a highly absorbable form of magnesium and the most active form of vitamin B6 http://www.healthegoods.com/magnesium-plus-100-vegetarian-capsules-seeking-health.html Since you are low on vitamin D3, that is important to address. Consider taking 2 drops daily of Vitamin D360 - this will provide 4,000 IU of vitamin D3 per day: http://www.healthegoods.com/vitamin-d360-by-seeking-health.html Low vitamin D is associated with numerous medical issues and emotional distress is one. These three suggestions are safe to take with Conversyl and are also effective at addressing anxiety and panic. I do recommend you and your physician monitor your blood pressure because it may drop with these recommendations as the emotional aspect of the high blood pressure is now being addressed. Keep me posted! In health, Dr Ben

    • Hi Dr

Thanks for the recommendations. The coversyl has not worked for me. blood pressure has not decreased. If i decide to try carditone should i stop taking the coversyl under doctors supervision or not advisable to take carditone at all? blood pressure is still the same and I'm already taking vit D supplements (ostelin). will try your recommended dosage.
      Trudy
    • Trudy - If the blood pressure medication you are taking is not working, then you need to tell your doctor and get on something else. In my experience, Carditone is very effective. If your blood pressure is high, you need something that will help it reduce to an appropriate level. Be sure to take Carditone every 12 hours - do not lapse and take a capsule or two randomly. I also strongly recommend that you address potential magnesium deficiencies, EPA/DHA and neurotransmitter support which will all contribute to healthier and more balanced emotions. Best, Dr Ben

    • After delivery my son via c-section that was not expected my blood pressure elevated to a high level. I spent 4 days in the hosptial and was pumped with all kinds of pain medication. I believe my body is not balance. What herbal supplement will get my body to be balance and at the same time address the high blood pressure. The doctor placed me on 2.5mg of Amlodipine and I want to get off the pill and natural medication like Carditone. Show I call my doctor and find out from him first? I will be a year since I am taking Amlodipine generic for Norvac. I do not want my body to get use to take prescription medication. Can i stop right away and try Carditone or do i have to get off of this drug slowly? Thank you Dee
    • Hello Dee - Sounds like you may have had pre-eclampsia. Magnesium is very useful in this situation along with CoQ10. Optimal Magnesium is here: http://www.healthegoods.com/optimal-magnesium-100-vegetarian-capsules-seeking-health.html and Active CoQH is here: http://www.healthegoods.com/active-coqh-60-softgels.html Both of these are safe to take along with your blood pressure medication. Be sure to monitor your blood pressure as the magnesium may reduce it further. You may also have a genetic defect called MTHFR. Consider having your doctor test you for MTHFR. Learn more here: www.MTHFR.net It is not safe to quickly discontinue one blood pressure medication for another. You must work with your doctor on this and tell them your desires. If they refuse to comply with your wishes, then find a doctor who you enjoy working with and can provides options. Visit www.naturopathic.org to find such a doctor. In health, Dr Ben

  • Carditone user at 4/16/12 2:09 PM
    • Dear Dr.

I have been using Carditone for about 20 days. My blood pressure came down from 140/100 to 130's/90's. It is definitely working. I know my blood pressure is not stable yet, because sometimes it is higher or lower than 130/90. Before I go to bed the reading is very good lower than 120/80. I am also experiencing nasal congestion and low heart beat, 50s sometimes 40s. Is my heart beat too low? Shall I cut down the dosage? I am taking 2 pills a day, one after getting out of bed, the other before bed.
I got off high blood pressure prescription about 6 months ago. I am 49 and not over weight at all. I do not have any disease except being a hepatitis B carrier for more than 20 years. I liver is fine.

      I appreciate your professional consult.
    • Hello -

I am very careful in making recommendations to those taking blood pressure medications. It is not to be taken lightly.

Carditone is definitely an effective herbal supplement to lower blood pressure.

Consider supporting your liver nutritionally as a congested liver may increase blood pressure. Consider taking 1 capsule of Liver Nutrients with dinner daily.

Taking CoQ10 is also important for ejection fraction. Consider taking 1 to 2 capsules daily of Active CoQH with dinner to support heart function. A low heart rate may be perfectly fine especially if you are in shape and fit.

Also consider eliminating wheat and dairy products from your diet - as both may be causing sinus congestion.

Please do visit your doctor to have your cardiovascular system evaluated fully.

    • How much is too much. I have been taking Carditone for 45 days. My blood pressure reading is 180/80. I have been thinking about increasing the dose of Carditone from 2 to 3 capsules daily?
    • Hello -

That is a high blood pressure. Please go to your doctor to have it looked at and addressed.

Too much Carditone is when the blood pressure drops too low - below 120/80.

If you are going to increase the amount you are taking - be sure to space out the capsules by 12 hours - 8 AM and 8 PM for example.

You may consider taking 2 capsules in the AM and 2 capsules in the PM. Again - having your physician monitor your blood pressure and treatment.

      Best

      Dr Ben
