Q. My son has ADHD and does not like having to make a shake each morning. Is the BioFocus Bar just as good at the BioFocus Shake, or is the Shake more comprehensive and contains more beneficial supplementation for focus?
A. The BioFocus Bar is not as potent nor as complete as the BioFocus Shake. However, this does not mean you cannot try the BioFocus Bar and see how it works for him.
Each person is unique and the BioFocus Bar may contain the right amount of nutrients to relieve symptoms of ADD/ADHD.
Better yet, try having your son eat a BioFocus Bar in the morning a few days a week and on the slower, non-rush days, have a BioFocus Shake. This will lighten his mornings yet still provide him the additional nutrients he may need.
I make BioFocus Shakes for my boys this way:
- Add 2 cups of filtered water to a blender
- Add 1-2 cups of frozen blueberries or any frozen berries that he likes. Avoid non-organic grapes or strawberries as they are highly sprayed.
- Add 1 tablespoon of Pharmax Finest Cod Liver Oil
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of ProBiota 12 Powder to the smoothie once per week
- Add 1/4 cup of almonds that were soaked overnight and rinsed the next morning
- A hint of maple syrup or agave nectar if needed for taste
