Question:
Help for Periodontitis?
Answer:
Q: Need help with periodontitis... any suggestions other than quitting sugar? The dentist wants to do a deep cleaning on the tooth, then a graft, and invisalign braces... they say to use chlorohexane as a rinse... somehow this all looks expensive and is not addressing the infection, and they say there is no infection.. but red painful tissue anywhere else is. (originally posted on HealthE
Goods Facebook page)
A: Folic acid rinse. Folirinse is a product you can get that has shown to help immensely with gingivitis and other gum disease. It may help with periodontitis. My website, www.HealthEGoods.com, does not offer it but I found it here.
B12 liquid drops are recommended as well. Take 2 drops, swish in a little bit of water, or with the Folirinse and swallow.
If smoking, stop.
If using a toothpaste with numerous chemicals in it, stop. Use a natural one.
Use Listerine or a natural mouthwash. Listerine is great but it has so many colorings and chemicals which is too bad. I use this herbal mouthwash by Auromere.
Chew Xylitol gum a few times a day. Xylitol kills unhealthy bacteria.
Eat raw garlic and chew it. You may dilute it with olive oil to not burn your mouth or place on a piece of bread or something. Garlic is a very potent antimicrobial.
Add a probiotic to your mouth daily and swish. I recommend ProBiota 12 capsules. Simply open the capsule, place contents directly into your mouth. This will restore healthy bacteria in your oral cavity.
And don't forget to get enough Vitamin C...key player in gum health.
These suggestions should help a lot!
